The Collaborative Classroom

ACTIVstudio has a colourful tool palette that you can personalise, resize, use horizontally or vertically, and drag anywhere on the ACTIV board for easy access by even the smallest student whether left or right handed.

ACTIVstudio includes an advanced graphics engine.  Continuing to set the standard for interactive whiteboard software, Promethean has developed two editions of ACTIVstudio: 'Student' and 'Professional' catering to your needs within any teaching and learning environment. 

You can "drag and drop" of all objects, and have the ability to open multiple flipcharts using the totally flexible user interface.

When you move objects during the lesson they are always visible in movement. This allows everyone to easily participate in hands-on activities such as dragging and dropping words into gaps in sentences, or re-organising and labeling objects.

The voting button allows you to poll your students on questions for immediate whole group and individual assessment during your lessons by using the hand-held wireless ACTIVote devices.

We supply you with a free ACTIVstudio Student Edition software licence for you to give to your students. Why not provide each of your students with it for their course folder. It can be installed on your students' PCs to help them create or collaborate on their own flipcharts so they can display them on your ACTIV board.

You can also use it to create your own simple interactive teaching or reference flipcharts at home, on or away from your interactive whiteboard.

Encouraging your students to interact as part of their language acquisition helps avoid lessons becoming too teacher-centred and ensures a high level of collaboration in the classroom.
