Flexible use of flipcharts

Interactive materials are organised into electronic "flipcharts", which can be used in flexible ways.   Follow one particular flipchart - or pick and mix from others - and/or include your own ideas.   Everything that's projected onto the whiteboard can be added to, manipulated, or "written over" using the whiteboard pen which takes the place of the computer mouse. This means that you can vary the presentation, interaction and student involvement in line with classroom conditions .

Rather than using your finger as on some whiteboards - the ACTIVpen provides a natural extension of the writing process - and with its "right click" button, provides easy access to other user-friendly features.

Clicking on the Chalkboard icon takes you automatically to blank flipchart pages that can be used to write on, record and import materials from other sources such as the internet. This is great for expanding the existing lesson, introducing new ideas or exploiting teaching opportunities as they arise.   These pages can then be saved to My Flipcharts on your computer, time-stamped, retrieved and edited whenever they're needed. You can give your chalkboard files to students to use in their own Student Edition.

Print out your board work

All these pages, as with everything that appears on the interactive whiteboard, can be printed out; and this includes tests, transcripts and worksheets that accompany all the resources.

Printed worksheets and Workbook sections provide an excellent opportunity for your students to practise vital reading and writing skills inside or outside the classroom.   These go towards making up the content of your student's course folder.  

Viewing worksheets on the whiteboard

Another advantage of the printable ACTIVLINGUA worksheet, is that you can view it on the whiteboard, and model the answers using contributions from the students themselves.
